Scope of work:

• Production and installation of the steel structure – 770 tons

Specifications:

• Execution class of the steel structure: EXC 3
• Installation of a load-bearing scaffold due to insufficient lifting capacity of the tower crane for mounting internal platform trusses
• Execution of works from suspended work platforms due to lack of access for construction machinery

Description

The structure is a reinforced concrete chimney of circular shape, with an internal diameter of 28 meters, a variable external diameter ranging from 29.9 to 29 meters, and a height of 150 meters.

The chimney includes several structural units, and we were responsible for the following:

• Internal platforms at levels +73.5, +92, +114, and +136 meters
• External platforms A and B
• Staircase and elevator
• Compressor station
• Chimney entrance portal

Anti-corrosion protection was carried out in accordance with exposure class C4 (for external elements), C3 (for internal elements), and a required durability of 15–25 years.
